How it began
A question asked in a Provençal herb garden
In 2016, Élise Moreau was standing in a lavender field outside Grasse, watching a farmer harvest rosemary by hand at dawn. She had spent years studying plant biochemistry, and she kept returning to the same question: why were the most potent botanical ingredients being processed out of existence before they reached a skincare formula?
Two years later, Bio Naturel was founded — not as a brand, but as a commitment. A commitment to source ingredients at their peak, process them minimally, and deliver them to skin in their most bioavailable form.
Today, we work with 14 certified organic farms across France, Spain, and Morocco. Every harvest is traceable. Every formula is transparent. Every package is designed to return to the earth.

A trained herbalist and biochemist, Élise spent a decade working with organic farms across Provence before founding Bio Naturel in 2018.

With a PhD in plant biochemistry from ETH Zürich, Priya leads our research into bioactive botanical compounds and their skin interactions.
